The next time your wanting to sit down and have a nice cup of coffee or latte but you don't want to pay the high coffee shop prices you might want to skip Starbucks and head to Veloche. Like Starbucks, Doutour, and many of others, Veloche is a chain coffee shop with several locations throughout Japan. What sets Veloche apart from the rest however is it's size and low prices. Veloche is one of the largest Coffee shops I have ever seen in Japan with seating in some shops for more than 50 people. And the price is very low. A cup of American Blend Coffee or Regular coffee only costs 160 yen and a cup of ice coffee only costs 170 yen. Compare that to the 300 and 400 yen prices at other coffee shops. Lattes and other items are also very cheap and most are priced below 300 yen. There are many Caffe Veloche shops throughout Japan and several in Chiba for that matter.
