Chirashizushi 散らし寿司

Chirashizushi consists of sashimi and other ingredients arranged on top of sushi rice in a bowl. Due to it's easiness to prepare it is a quite popular dish for home cooking. Some popular toppings for Chirashizushi include Shiitake, Kyuri (cucumber), Ika (squid), Maguro (Tuna), Takenoko (bamboo shoots), and Tamago-yaki (sweet egg).
